On May 14, Vets Plus staff and Menomonie, Wis. community members celebrated the grand opening of a new company facility on Stokke Parkway. This site will be the new home for packaging, labeling, shipping, and receiving operations.
The company formed in 1990 to manufacture and market probiotic and calcium gels for dairy cattle. Since its beginning in Knapp, Wis., the company has expanded to four locations within Dunn County, supporting national and global distribution of the animal health nutraceuticals for food and companion animals. In order to accommodate growing business, Vets Plus acquired the Stokke Parkway facility and began construction on a 40,000 square foot warehouse in 2015.
The warehouse addition is adjacent to a newly acquired 38,000 square foot packaging facility. The new facility has sufficient space to support continued growth to over 150,000 square feet at this site. The majority of packaging work done in the current manufacturing space will move to the new facilities for the purpose of increasing capacity for the growing business.
According to Lall, the company’s growth is just the beginning. “We are excited to transition these steps in manufacturing a new site in order to provide room to grow. We are positioned well in the industry to continue serving our customers’ needs and expand our manufacturing capabilities for new and existing business. Opening the Stokke Parkway facility is one step in the continued growth of the business.”
