Vets Plus Inc. adds two new national account directors
Davey Stone and Mary Jane Bone bring decades of experience to the company.
Vets Plus Inc. is pleased to announce that Davey Stone and Mary Jane Bone have both recently joined the company as national account directors.
Stone will be responsible for developing the business with animal pharma companies and veterinary channel customers. The latter includes practice groups, shelters, veterinary teaching schools and government institutions.

Stone joined Vets Plus on March 27 and has over 40 years of experience in the animal health industry, recently retiring from Covetrus after over 25 years. His tenure there spanned the transitions from The Butler Company to Butler Animal Health Supply to Henry Schein Animal Health, where he held progressive executive roles including director of companion animal segment; vice president of marketing & sales services; and vice president of specialty markets & corporate philanthropy. Prior to that, Stone headed sales & marketing of the veterinary division of Bergan Brunswig Medical and the predecessor business, Durr-Fillauer Medical, based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Earlier in his career, he worked for 10 years with McConnell Company as a warehouse associate and thenterritory manager. Stone’s first entry into animal health was working at his father’s animal hospital anddairy farm in Gadsden, Alabama. Stone studied at Gadsden State University and the University ofAlabama in Birmingham and holds an Executive Distribution Management Certificate from The Ohio StateUniversity, Fisher School of Business.
Mary Jane Bone joined Vets Plus on March 20, 2023 and has 27 years of experience in the animal healthindustry, with a broad background in business development and channel management across cattle,equine, and pet species. In her role, Bone will be responsible for expanding our business within theagricultural retail market and with our animal health distributor partners. Her extensive background inestablishing strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships makes her an essential part of the newcommercial team.
Bone spent 25 years within the Merial/Boehringer Ingelheim organization, achieving success by buildingrelationships, identifying opportunities, and providing solutions. She started her career as a largeanimal/equine sales representative in Oklahoma and quickly transitioned to equine specialist for thecentral U.S. As a channel manager and senior associate director of channel sales, she worked withregional and national distributors, including Midwest Vet, Covetrus, and Tractor Supply. She played a vitalrole in the growth of Boehringer Ingelheim’s home delivery distribution (HDD) strategy.
Bone holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from California Polytechnic State University and a master’s degree in agriculture from Colorado State University. She Bone resides in Colorado Springs with her husband, Jeff, and son. Her daughter is attending Colorado State University studying pre-vet to become an equine orthopedic surgeon. As a family, they enjoy team roping, hiking, and attending porting events.
