Summary of the Position
Supervise day-to-day operations ensuring compliance of applicable regulations and standards. Assist in production scheduling and monitor materials on a regular basis to meet production goals. Manage and schedule staff to meet production goals, maintain safety and quality expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan day to day production activities to meet safety, quality and order expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production with the department personnel, analyze problems and implement measures to resolve issues.
- Provide constant coaching and training in the production area and by maintaining a regular floor presence throughout the production shift.
- Monitor organization of production floor and storage areas.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate with Quality, Shipping/Receiving to effectively execute production activities.
- Supervise and motivate the production team, insure all policies, procedures and goals are being administered fairly and equitably.
- Work with appropriate departments for improvement of policies and procedures.
- Ensures GMP and SQF standards are maintained on the production floor, and day-to-day records and logs are completed to always be in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Coordinate with the appropriate departments for any issues that arise.
Minimum Requirements
- Effective Communication Skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- The ability to multi- task multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Must be proficient in Windows Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to think and work independently and possess strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Supervisor experience is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Post secondary degree is preferred.
