Maintenance Technician – Second Shift

Summary of the Position:

Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service. Equipment includes but is not limited to injection mold, hot extrusion, labeler etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on all equipment.
  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Performs troubleshooting tasks, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Maintains equipment in compliance with HACCP, GMP and OSHA Requirements.
  • Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations are always met regarding equipment and maintenance.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and landscaping activities for all facilities.
  • Performs and coordinates repairs and maintenance of all system’s including electrical, PLC’s, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Assists in developing and refining the Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Must project a high level of professionalism in work performed and relations with others.
  • Ability to work proficiently with little supervision.
  • Assists in continuous process improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Able to climb ladders.
  • Ability to read and write in English and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work in various temperature ranges.
  • Proficiency in more than one trade area, such as carpentry, plumbing, control systems, mechanical systems and proficiency in electrical is preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Training
  • Equipment Operation and Safety for all Equipment
